As the CEO of a company, you have to lead by example. People are going to do, to a large degree, what what you do.

- Alexander Torrenegra, Remoter Podcast S1E9

In Episode 9, we're doing a deep dive into stories, lessons learned and processes of transitioning from an office-based company into a remote-first company. TL;DR - The success stories have a pattern. And that comes from leaders and decision-makers setting examples that propel remote culture, thus making the transition itself less painful for everyone.

As mentioned in the episode, here are 3 things that are key for propelling transitions within companies successfully.

  1. Both the CEO and Head of HR work remotely
  2. Make an effort and hire from the global talent pool, looking outside of your city
  3. The CEO needs to lead by example (e.g., really promote the usage of videoconferencing and having the video on when speaking with colleagues).

Hosted by Remoter Ambassador Josephine Tse and Torre's Chief Growth Officer Andrés Cajiao, this podcast will take you on a journey as we cover topics surrounding how to build and/or scale your very own remote-first teams.
