As a continuation of season 1 with Andrés Cajiao and Alexander Torrenegra, Remoter continues in its second season with the opportunity to interview some remote work leaders, ranging from companies, consultants, advocates, and more, to add to Remoter’s stash of free resources and human-centered stories, enriching our educational platform about remote work.

On this recording of the Remoter podcast, we had done this remotely (true to its nature), Remoter in the UK and founder of Ready for Remote Gary Walker in Scotland. Gary has been working remotely for over a decade. Forging his own path, Ready for Remote is an educational platform providing content and resources to help people, you guessed it, get ‘ready for remote.’ It is powered by his consulting firm, 22North - all in all, Gary is passionate about creating digital products from his experiences to help improve experiences of distributed teams. The conversation takes an unexpected turn as we learn about his personal motivations and drivers that have shaped his stance on the benefits remote work offers. Stumbling and embracing remote work over the years has allowed Ready for Remote to grow while allowing Gary to better integrate his work with life as a parent of 2 young children.
